The multi-award winning eatery continues to set the standard for Indian food
Launched in 2016 by acclaimed restaurateur, Rajesh Suri, and famed for pairing ancient dishes with traditional cooking methods, via recipes collated from the legendary trail across hundreds of years, Grand Trunk Road is a singular experience renowned for setting the standard for Indian food in Essex and London. They received a Michelin plaque for 2021 and celebrated their reopening by announcing their new Head Chef, Arup Dasgupta.
Chef Dasgupta’s creativity and flair for delicious imagination is shown in new dishes including the Stone Bass marinated with light Kasundi mustard and coconut, steamed and served with pickled fennel salad, while an eight course tasting menu will be introduced in the near future.
Cocktails include the ‘Turn & Twist’, made with Kraken rum and Tamarind syrup, the ‘Afghani Silk’, which pairs vodka with lychee juice and lime, while the extensive wine list boasts the perfect accompaniments to any of their flavoursome items.
